SUMMARY:Sharlot Hall Museum\, Historic Prescott & the Lakes Scenic Drive
DESCRIPTION:Sharlot Hall Museum\, Historic Prescott & the Lakes Scenic Drive April 28\, 2026 \n$129 \nEnjoy a beautifully paced day in one of Arizona’s most charming mountain towns\, beginning with a visit to the Sharlot Hall Museum\, one of the state’s oldest and most engaging history museums. Set on nearly four acres in the heart of Prescott\, this thoughtfully curated campus brings Arizona’s territorial past to life through historic buildings\, immersive exhibits\, and personal stories that feel both fascinating and accessible. \nFounded in 1928 by Sharlot M. Hall—Arizona’s first female historian and a passionate preservationist—the museum began with the rescue of the original 1864 Territorial Governor’s Mansion. Today guests can explore preserved homes\, a schoolhouse\, jail\, and gallery spaces that reflect the people\, cultures\, and daily life of early Arizona. The grounds are easy to explore and beautifully shaded\, making for a relaxed and engaging morning. \nAfter our museum visit\, we’ll head a few blocks to Prescott’s iconic Whiskey Row for lunch on self. With a variety of restaurants to choose from\, everyone can find something just right—whether you’re craving Southwestern favorites\, classic comfort food\, or lighter fare—while enjoying time to soak in the lively character of downtown Prescott. \nWe’ll wrap up the day with a scenic driving tour of Prescott’s lakes and the Granite Dells\, passing the dramatic rock formations surrounding Watson and Willow Lakes. With minimal walking and beautiful views throughout\, this relaxed afternoon drive provides the perfect contrast to the morning’s history and the bustle of downtown. \nWith cool mountain air\, rich Arizona history\, and stunning scenery\, this is a true Kindred Tours classic—relaxed\, enriching\, and wonderfully balanced. \nDepart: NW 8 a.m. | Phx 7:45 a.m. | Scts 7:30 a.m. | Mesa 7 a.m.R: 6 p.m. \n\nCancellation Policy — ONE-DAY Van or Motorcoach Tours must be paid for when you make your reservation. SUMMARY:Desert to Tall Pines & Bruzzi Vineyard
DESCRIPTION:Desert to Tall Pines & Bruzzi Vineyard April 30\, 2026 \n$145 \nJoin us for an unforgettable springtime journey along the 76-mile Desert to Tall Pines Scenic Byway\, following Highway 288 from Globe to the remote mountain community of Young\, Arizona. This rugged region\, known by cowboys as “the high lonesome\,” carries a fascinating past and some of the most dramatic scenery in the state. \nThe area became famous during the Pleasant Valley War of the 1880s\, an Arizona sheep war between two feuding families—the cattle-herding Grahams and the sheep-herding Tewksburys. Long before the feud\, the town of Young was established by William Young\, whose name the settlement still carries today. \nToday the drive to Young is celebrated as one of Arizona’s most scenic routes\, offering sweeping views of Roosevelt Lake\, winding mountain roads\, and the rugged beauty of the Sierra Ancha Mountains as the landscape transitions from desert to tall pine forest. \nIn addition to breathtaking scenery and fascinating history\, Young is home to the first winery in Gila County—Bruzzi Vineyard. Here we’ll relax and enjoy a flight of six wines paired with a hearty Italian-style sandwich lunch\, included. \nA beautiful scenic drive\, a touch of Arizona history\, and a charming hidden vineyard—it’s the perfect way to welcome spring in the high country. \nDepart: NW 8 a.m. | Phx 8:30 a.m. | Scts 8:45 a.m. | Mesa 9 a.m.R: 6 p.m. \n\n \n \n Please enable javascript in your browser to book\nCancellation Policy — ONE-DAY Van or Motorcoach Tours must be paid for when you make your reservation.
