This museum is just fascinating! Visitors set off on a self-guided tour through different lands and times both real and imagined. Over 275 miniature houses, room boxes and enchanting collectibles are part of the extraordinary collection. The museum is organized in three main areas; the Enchanted Realm, History Gallery and Exploring the World. The Enchanted Realm is a magical place with woodland creatures, snow villages, fairy castles and a witches compound, to name a few. The History Gallery is reflective of different time periods. One of the oldest miniature houses in the U.S., circa 1775 is part of this collection. In Exploring the World, you will see examples of how miniatures are used in other cultures with items from artisans representing the U.K., France, Germany, Holland, Italy, Japan, Thailand, Greece, Turkey, Spain and others. We’ll enjoy lunch on self at Cup Café at circa-1919 Congress Hotel. This trendy American café serves upscale comfort food in a charming setting, earning numerous “Best of Tucson” awards. Their menu offers fantastic sandwiches, soups, salads and crepes, and the most delicious desserts made in-house daily. This is always a great day out. Call in your reservations and don’t miss out on the fun.
