Pine Creek Lavender & Lunch (West Valley Pickups)

We’re heading north to the peaceful mountain town of Pine for a delightful visit to Pine Creek Lavender Farm Store and Cooking School—where the air is scented with blooming fields and the pace slows to something a little more relaxed.

Set on a historic farmstead recognized on the National Register of Historic Places, this charming property blends Arizona history with a modern focus on small-batch, naturally grown lavender. Thanks to Pine’s higher elevation and cooler climate, the farm is able to grow several varieties of lavender that thrive in the mountain air—creating both a beautiful setting and ideal conditions for crafting their signature products.

During our visit, we’ll enjoy a guided introduction to the farm and its thoughtfully preserved grounds. Stroll through rows of fragrant lavender, learn about the different varieties grown here, and gain insight into the farm’s natural growing practices.

We’ll also step into the farm kitchen for a fun and engaging demonstration, where lavender takes center stage in a variety of sweet and creative ways—complete with a sample to enjoy.

After our time at the farm, we’ll head to Old County Inn for a delicious included lunch. Known for its from-scratch approach, everything here is made in-house—from the bacon and sausage that top their famous Meat Pie to house-made pickles and even their cocktail ingredients—making for a truly memorable and satisfying meal in a cozy, rustic setting.
