DAY 1: OVERNIGHT FLIGHT

DAY 2: ARRIVE ZAGREB, CROATIA
Welcome to Croatia! Arrive in Zagreb, meet your Tour Director and transfer to your hotel. This evening join your fellow travelers for a Welcome Dinner.

DAY 3: ZAGREB – LJUBLJANA, SLOVENIA
This morning enjoy a Zagreb City Tour to see the highlights of this gracious city. Visit the Upper Old Town and see St. Stephen’s Cathedral, St. Marks Church and the colorful Jelacic Square. Next cross into Slovenia and travel to the capital city of Ljubljana, which sits between central Europe and the Mediterranean, and retains a small town feel. This afternoon enjoy a Ljubljana City Tour to view its open-air market, the Baroque Venetian inspired City Hall, Robba Fountain, and the Triple Bridge, which connects the old and new cities, and is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. Later check into your hotel in Ljubljana for two nights. Enjoy dinner with your fellow travelers at a local restaurant.

DAY 4: LJUBLJANA – POSTOJNA CAVE – LAKE BLED – LJUBLJANA
This morning a short ride south takes you to Postojna to explore Postojna Cave, the almost 13-mile-long karst cave system where an electric train takes you deeper than is possible in any other cave in the world. Later travel to Lake Bled to visit the imposing 11th century Bled Castle, perched on a steep cliff high above the lake creating a dramatic backdrop to the city. Stroll through the castle grounds and visit the museum to get insight into the history of the castle and the surrounding area. Return to Ljubljana and enjoy the evening at your own pace.

DAY 5: LJUBLJANA – ZADAR – SPLIT, CROATIA
Today sit back and enjoy the scenery as you travel south through Slovenia & back into Croatia. Midday stop in Zadar, situated on a long peninsula, and the oldest Slavic town on the Adriatic Sea. Enjoy a Zadar City Tour to see the Roman Forum archaeological site and the unique Sea Organ, which plays music by way of sea waves and tubes located underneath a set of large marble steps. Then travel along the spectacular coast and arrive in the city of Split to begin your two-night stay in this amazing city. Split is a quintessential Mediterranean city with a small-town vibe, a great pedestrian Old Town and easy-going locals. After a long day enjoy dinner with your fellow travelers.

DAY 6: SPLIT
A day to remember begins with a Split City Tour highlighted by a visit to the impressive Diocletian’s Palace. Built in the 3rd & 4th centuries, the Historical Complex of Split with Diocletian’s Palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Highlights of the Palace include the Peristyle, the palace’s main open space, Jupiter’s Temple & the Cathedral which was once the Emperor’s Mausoleum. Also see Kacic Square and the Franciscan Monastery. Then enjoy time at leisure to explore Old Town Split with is meandering pedestrian streets, shops, restaurants & harbor views. The evening is at leisure to explore and dine at your own pace.

DAY 7: SPLIT – STON – DUBROVNIK
This morning delight in a breathtaking drive along the spectacular Dalmatian Coast, dotted with palm trees, olive groves and idyllic fishing villages. Stop to visit and explore the town of Ston, famous for its salt works, mussels and town walls which are sometimes referred to as the “European Walls of China.” Later arrive in Dubrovnik for your two-night stay in this incredible city. After settling into your hotel enjoy dinner with your fellow travelers at a popular local restaurant.

DAY 8: DUBROVNIK
Enjoy a morning Dubrovnik City Tour featuring the harbor area, the Franciscan Monastery, and the stately Baroque Cathedral. Explore Old Town Dubrovnik, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and enclosed by Medieval walls on the Old Port. The rest of the day is free for you to discover more in the charming Old Town. Shop, dine, enjoy a cafe and consider a walk on the famous city walls with fantastic harbor views.

DAY 9: DUBROVNIK – TROGIR – PLITVICE LAKES AREA
Today, appreciate spectacular views as you travel the coastal road along sheer cliffs that drop into the beautiful Adriatic Sea. Stop in the historic town of Trogir to see medieval buildings, churches and towers in this enchanting city. Enjoy time to shop and grab a bite to eat before continuing north. This afternoon features a scenic drive through Croatia’s most beautiful countryside. Later arrive in the Plitvice Lakes National Park area for your overnight stay. This evening enjoy dinner with your fellow travelers.

DAY 10: PLITVICE LAKES NATIONAL PARK – ZAGREB
Today prepare your cameras for Plitvice Lakes National Park. The UNESCO World Heritage Site is a scenic wonderland of 16 interconnecting lakes flanked by waterfalls and forest. Visit Korana Canyon to see the 230 feet high falls and panoramic views. Also embark on a scenic Plitvice Boat Excursion to better view the natural phenomenons of the park. Later arrive at your hotel in Zagreb for a one-night stay. Tonight enjoy a Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant in Zagreb.

DAY 11: ZAGREB – FLY HOME
