April is one of the most beautiful months in Southern Arizona—and one of our last chances to enjoy it before summer arrives. Join us for a lovely spring day at the Tucson Botanical Gardens, a charming 5.5-acre oasis tucked in the heart of the city. Though compact in size, the gardens offer an impressive variety of themed spaces and plant collections, all thoughtfully designed for easy and enjoyable exploring.
One of the highlights of our visit is the Cox Butterfly and Orchid Pavilion, a tropical environment filled with fluttering butterflies, lush greenery, and stunning orchids from around the world. You’ll also have time to wander Frida’s Garden, inspired by Frida Kahlo’s connection to nature, and enjoy the whimsical Great Garden Express model train exhibit winding through the landscape.
After our garden stroll, we’ll head to Tandem American Eatery—a longtime Kindred Tours favorite—for a delicious included lunch. Tandem is always a highlight of our Tucson visits and the perfect complement to a lovely garden morning.
