Viva Las Vegas!
February 20 – 22, 2024
$499(Based Upon Double Occupancy) +$56 (Single Supplement)
DAY ONE
We’re on our way to Las Vegas, Nevada, one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world. We’re traveling by Transit vans, in small groups—keeping us nimble and ready for adventure! We’ll make plenty of pitstops along the way, including one for lunch, on self, in Kingman—the beating heart of Arizona’s Route 66. Late afternoon we’ll check into the Golden Nugget Casino Hotel, our headquarters for the next two nights. The Golden Nugget is the third-oldest hotel in Las Vegas—offering a casino, spa, fabulous shopping and ten distinctly different restaurants. A fixture on Fremont Street since the 1940’s, thrill seekers need only step out the door of the hotel to immerse themselves in the Fremont Street Experience—a six-block pedestrian-only thoroughfare, lined with revived casinos, open-air bars, affordable eats, the world’s largest light and sound shows and so much more! Dinner is on self this evening, and the night is yours to enjoy, with all there is to see and do in Las Vegas!
DAY TWO
A fantastic hot breakfast is included at the hotel, then it’s back in the Transits and we’re off to enjoy a spectacular scenic drive through Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. Just 15 miles west of Las Vegas, Red Rock Canyon offers the most incredible views of desert beauty, towering red cliffs and abundant wildlife—a stark contrast to the bright lights and glitz of Las Vegas. Later we’re off to experience the exciting Las Vegas Strip, beginning with the Flamingo Hotel—famously loaded with old-school Vegas charm. We’ll catch a glimpse of paradise in the Flamingo’s 4-acre Wildlife Habitat, where luscious greenery, meandering streams and waterfalls, meet live Chilean flamingos, unique bird species and exotic fish and turtles. We’ll enjoy an affordable lunch, on self, at the Flamingo Food Court, offering fresh sandwiches, pizza, American fare and Asian favorites. Afterwards we’ll continue to explore the Strip, with a visit to the renowned Bellagio Hotel. Each season, the Bellagio’s enormously talented horticulture and engineering teams transform the 14,000-square-foot Botanical Gardens into a showcase of inspiring sights, sounds, scents and colors. Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter are all featured—along with a special display for Lunar New Year—to be unveiled mid January and run through early March. Lucky for us, we’ll be there to usher in the Year of the Ox in a space reflecting peace and tranquility—a floral playground—explored by over 20,000 people daily. Later we’ll step out to enjoy the Fountains of Bellagio, the most ambitious, most complex water feature ever conceived. We’ll find a comfortable perch and watch against the backdrop of the Las Vegas sky, a performance that is unique in expression—no matter how many times you have visited the Bellagio. The evening is yours to enjoy at your leisure. Stay with your tour guide or do your thing. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

FAQ’s
It’s easy to make a reservation for an OVERNIGHT Van or Motorcoach Tour. Simply call us, or fill out our online reservation form. We’ll ask you for a bit of information and a $100 nonrefundable deposit. Wondering why that deposit is nonrefundable? Kindred Tours has made deposits to hotels, vendors, and attractions… sometimes months in advance, and that money is often nonrefundable to us. Your final payment for OVERNIGHT Van or Motorcoach Tours will be due 45 days prior to your departure date. Final payments are nonrefundable. On rare occasions, Kindred Tours may need to cancel a tour prior to departure. If this happens, we’ll notify you as far in advance as possible. You, of course, will receive a full refund for the cost of your tour, or you can transfer your credit to another tour of your choice.
ONE-DAY Van or Motorcoach Tours must be paid for when you make your reservation. Reservations can be made either by phone or online.
One-day tours are nonrefundable within 30 days of the tour.
People ask us all the time about tipping. “Should we?” and “How much?” While we at Kindred Tours want to make it clear that we do not require tips, they are certainly appreciated by our tour guides and drivers when the service meets or exceeds your expectations.
As to the amounts, use your own judgment. Recommendations are all over the map. USA Today recommends $3 to $5 per person for half-day trips, $10 for a full-day excursion, and $1 to $2 for a one or two hour tour. On overnight tours, calculate the per-day tip and multiply it by the number of days, and add $1 to $2 per person for loading and unloading bags.
Trip Advisor suggests that most major Tour Operators are suggesting $4 – $5.00 per day per passenger. At this rate you should budget $8 – $10.00 per day if traveling as a couple. The guideline is per person not per couple. Tips to the driver usually fall within the same range.
Again, these are just guidelines and we want to repeat that they are not required. Give a tip if you think one is warranted.
