Get ready to experience some of the most far-reaching scenery in Arizona from atop the Mogollon Rim—a land of dramatic beauty and rich history. Stretching over 200 miles and sitting at 7,000 feet elevation, the Rim drops nearly 2,000 feet to the desert below, creating sweeping views that seem to go on forever.
We’ll visit several scenic overlook points before heading to Payson, the hub of Arizona’s Rim Country, where we’ll enjoy an included lunch at Fargo’s Steakhouse.
In the afternoon, we’ll continue to Woods Canyon Lake, nestled within the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest at 7,500 feet elevation. With cool mountain air, shaded picnic areas, and peaceful surroundings, it’s the perfect place to relax, take a stroll, or simply enjoy the setting.

The Scottsdale pickup location can be easily reached via AZ 101/Pima Freeway. Exit the freeway at Shea. The La Quinta Hotel is located at the northeast corner of AZ 101 and Shea Blvd.
