Day Two: French Quarter Walking Tour & Steamboat Cruise
This morning enjoy a guided French Quarter Walking Tour featuring highlights including St. Louis Cathedral, Jackson Square, Bourbon Street, Pirates Alley, and the historic French Marketplace. Stop at the famous Café du Monde to savor the classic New Orleans treat of café au lait and powdered sugar beignets. Later board a Mississippi River Paddlewheel Steamboat for a relaxing cruise along the river. This evening enjoy dinner with your fellow travelers at the renowned New Orleans School of Cooking. Day Three: New Orleans City Tour & Oak Alley Plantation
Today enjoy a guided New Orleans City Tour including the elegant Garden District, home to one of the finest collections of historic mansions in the United States. Visit the beautiful Above Ground Cemeteries, a distinctive and historic feature of the city. Later travel outside the city to tour Oak Alley Plantation, famous for its breathtaking quarter-mile avenue of towering live oak trees believed to be more than 300 years old. Day Four: National WWII Museum & Celebration in the Oaks
This morning visit one of the nation’s top museums, the National WWII Museum, which tells the story of the American experience during World War II through powerful exhibits, artifacts, and multimedia presentations. Highlights include the immersive 4-D theater experience “Beyond All Boundaries,” narrated by Tom Hanks. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure to explore the French Quarter. This evening gather for a Farewell Dinner at a popular French Quarter restaurant before visiting Celebration in the Oaks, one of the country’s most spectacular holiday light displays located in New Orleans City Park.
